From Reactive Intelligence to Predictive Defense: How Modern CTI Strengthens Cyber Resilience

This session explores how Cyber Threat Intelligence is shifting from a reactive, indicator-focused discipline to a predictive capability that helps organizations anticipate attacker behavior and reduce risk earlier. Using research from Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and the Buyer Persona Institute, we examine how traditional CTI workflows struggle with manual triage, inconsistent integration, and limited business visibility, even as the threat landscape accelerates through automation, AI-enabled adversaries, and the growth of external attack surfaces. The presentation introduces a modern approach that emphasizes attacker likelihood, enriched context, and predictive models such as IOFAs and EPSS, along with the evolving expectations placed on CTI analysts as they move toward more proactive, business-aligned roles. This evolution directly supports cyber resilience because intelligence that anticipates likely threats improves an organization’s ability to prepare, withstand disruption and recover with less impact. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how predictive intelligence strengthens resilience outcomes and how CTI programs can deliver value that is visible to security leaders and the board.
