Endpoint Security Is Not Settled Science

While traditional EPP market has seen consolidation it is not because we are done here. The endpoint is still the target of every attack. As long as applications and operating systems have vulnerabilities there will be strong demand for endpoint protection. Monitoring kernel memory has become the norm for modern EDR solutions but they often have to incorporate file based detections. Meanwhile the endpoint itself has evolved into more and more fractal workloads. VMs, k8s, and now NIMS for hosting AI models are under attack too. How did we get here? And, where are we going?
